Presented by Finely Tuned, Terminal Projekt saw us provide 2 rooms with Funktion-One for 2 nights at the Sydney International Overseas Passenger Terminal, Circular Quay. The event intertwined with VIVID Festival to provide a magnificent visual and auditory experience.
In the main room we got to use our new 5 way stacking boards for the Res 5's for the first time and also had some PSM18 monitors to trial courtesy of John O'donnell from Funktion-One Australia. At front of house we had a rack of hardware which included the avalon vt-747sp for some mix buss compression when needed and to bring it all together the lovely people at APB were kind enough to send us one of their spectra series analogue consoles.
The main room had some acoustic challenges for us to overcome as the roof was sloped left to right and there was plenty of glass windows and metal doors along the sides of the room. Once again we were able to tame the impact of this and the event was a great success.
The second room was a large warehouse space with concrete everywhere! an engineers headache.... nothings too much for us! The space was more about chilling out with a beer or wine, eating some food and enjoying all that VIVID Festival had to offer, however as night approached passers by were soon on the dance floor enjoying some great music . Here we employed a 4 point system comprising of Res 2's and F218's vertically stacked.
